A male patient at the age of 9, is diagnosed with a supernumerary tooth in the area of the upper incisors and consequently there is a severe misalignment of the upper left central incisor.
After extraction of the supernumerary tooth, the upper incisor group was re-aligned early in a 6-month period.
In these cases, the restoration of the function and aesthetics of the incisors is compromised by the presence of the extra tooth, while the precision of the final position of the teeth is not a goal of the treatment.
The young patient will be in fact going against the exchange of the lateral milk teeth still present and for this reason the reached positions do not need to be accurate.
After extraction of the supernumerary tooth, the upper incisor group was re-aligned early in a 6-month period.
